Mindful Learners Collaborative (MLC), LLC believes learning should be a life-long, engaging, and positive process, not a checklist. The foundation of MLC’s philosophy is built on the belief that school districts, teachers, parents, families, and students themselves all aspire to the same goal. This shared goal centers on children and adolescents thriving in the current moment and throughout their lives. Our perspective provides the platform for highly trained experts to offer an array of collaborative services to districts, teachers, students, and families to meet the comprehensive needs of all learners, including those with highly specialized learning needs. purpose
Mindful Learners Collaborative (MLC) believes it is essential to work collaboratively with districts and families as a team, to help children and adolescents thrive in the current moment and throughout their lives. We also believe that when it is in the best interest of a student, all children and adolescents deserve the opportunity to learn and be active members of their local school and community. MLC’s foundation is built on a highly specialized skill set constructed through years of educational cross-training in multiple settings, including public and private sectors, with districts, families, and students requiring various specialized needs. This unique combination of training and experience allows for an in-depth expert understanding of not only student-specific needs but also organizational and system needs. This approach provides the foundation for a truly collaborative experience with sustainable results.
Approach
Based in New Hampshire, services provided by MLC range from student-specific to school-wide initiatives that benefit all students. MLC emphasizes the importance of learning across environments with all parties playing an active role in a student’s success. MLC experts understand the unique demands presented to districts to meet the evolving needs of all students, including those requiring significant interventions in areas related to social-emotional functioning.
Learning should be viewed as a fluid, positive, lifelong process that allows for flexibility based on one’s individual strengths and needs. The goal of MLC is to offer districts and families integrated services designed to provide individualized interventions and resources that allow students to thrive in their home, school, and community. These services are offered via student-based and/or consulting services. Thriving may look different for every child and adolescent, and it is important to have a comprehensive, fluid plan that includes corresponding necessary resources in order to provide the opportunity for successful learning, which every student deserves.
